Downtown Dixon is about to get spook-tacular! Lace up your walking shoes and swing by for the largest scarecrow festival yet, with over 100 booths spanning six buzzing city blocks. Enjoy pumpkin painting, games, face painting, a petting zoo, flower-pot decorating, donut-eating showdowns, and even pumpkin bowling.
Don’t miss the Pumpkin Derby at 1 p.m. on Hennepin Avenue—watch “pumpkin cars” race for glory.
Stock up for fall! Downtown shops are rolling out sweet specials and sales. Food trucks will be scattered throughout the festival grounds, and the Dixon Municipal Band will perform along the riverfront. Creativity is king at the Scarecrow Festival, so watch for fun scarecrow displays made by local businesses and organizations.
