Experience obstacles along the approximate 5-kilometer route. Obstacles can include mud trenches, ropes, low crawls, slip & slides, teamwork challenges and of course, Mud!
The Murphysboro Mud Monster is an Obstacle & Mud Challenge taking place at scenic Riverside Park in Murphysboro, Illinois. Gates open and on-site registration begin 7:30 a.m. with running heats starting at 9 a.m. until the final group at 10 a.m. Food and drink will be available for purchase on-site.
The price will start at $45 for the early birds through August 1st, $60 through September 15th, and $75 until race day. The first 50 sign-ups receive an exclusive Murphysboro Mud Monster T-shirt. Additional swag for all runners. Participants must be 13 years or older with a parent or guardian's permission and signed waiver. Runners 21 and over will receive one (1) beer ticket to celebrate their accomplishment.
Experience the thrill and excitement of the reimagined Murphysboro Mud Monster (run). Here's your chance to bring out your inner child and get muddy. Challenge yourself, challenge a friend or do it just for fun! Who knows, you may even spot the Big Muddy Monster himself!
