Shoreline Sightseeing, established in 1939, began with one vessel offering Lake Michigan Boat Tours showcasing Chicago’s fabulous skyline.
Now in our third generation of family ownership and operation and in our 82nd season. Shoreline has a fleet of ten touring vessels and six water taxis. In 1996, Shoreline brought the first Water Taxis to Chicago. In 1999, we began our very successful Architecture Tours on the Chicago River. Between 1999 and 2003 Shoreline commissioned three brand new vessels for their touring fleet: Star of Chicago, Evening Star, and Bright Star. Shoreline recently added three more custom outfitted vessels: Voyageur in 2006, Riverview in 2013 and Cityview in 2014. All our touring vessels have been custom built or custom modified to offer our passengers the highest standards of comfort and safety.

Shoreline Tours depart from the NW corner of the Michigan Ave Bridge or from multiple docks at Navy Pier.
