Located on Lake Sara, Cardinal Golf Course is the only public 18-hole course in Effingham. They also offer a driving range, putting green, chipping green and club house.
About ten minutes from interstates 57 and 70, the course is located on local Lake Sara and has beautiful views from the course. They currently have about 250 members and hold approximately 30 outings per year with an average attendence of about 100 players per outing. They do have a driving range, putting green, chipping green and fully-stocked pro shop with golf equipment and apparel. Season passes and memberships are available for purchase. They ask that you call to reserve a tee time for larger groups and on weekends; however, walk-ons are accepted on weekdays. Lessons and golf cart rentals are also available from the pro shop.
