The specific mission of this society is to preserve, interpret, and celebrate the unique history, diversity and achievements of the Village of Park Forest, Illinois through exhibits, publications, and special programs. Park Forest Local History Collection and Archive. Documents, photographs, video, and newspapers on historic Park Forest, 1946. Some items are on the early history of the region. It is best to call ahead to speak to the archivist. Some information is available at the Park Forest Public Library. Membership in the Society is open to the public. Fridays, 10:30AM-12:30PM; Available readily by appointment. Check website for any changes.
